Abernathy Company began in 1898 when the Ralph brothers, great-grandparents of Ric and Ray Abernathy,  opened their business.  Starting with laundry soaps, the Ralph Brothers' product line soon expanded to include a wide variety of institutional and industrial cleaning products.

Over time, changes in the business brought about a name change to RB Chemicals.  As time passed and RB Chemicals continued to grow, ownership was passed to the Abernathy brothers.

The Abernathy brothers remain openly loyal to their roots.  Consequently, the decision was made to change the company's name to Abernathy Company.
